Yakum Consulting’s founders (Y. Choi & P. Kondos) have successfully provided state-of-the-art and novel processing solutions for the in-situ leaching, non-cyanide alternative lixiviants, as well as in related and unrelated technical topic areas. Most notably, P. Kondos & Y. Choi provided solutions related to:

•   Ground-breaking mining solution deployment (thiosulfate (TCM) plant at Goldstrike, NV; silver recovery at Pueblo Viejo, DR)
•   Renewable energy and efficient solutions (plan for LNG replacing HFO at the power plant at Pueblo Viejo, DR)
•   Integrated solutions covering all aspects of the mine value chain (Energy Program at Barrick Gold)
•   Forming collaborations and consortia on strategic technology solutions (the creation and development of Canada Mining Innovation Council).

The founders’ work on novel solutions, such as in-situ gold leaching and alternative lixiviants for heap leach operations, have proven to generate new opportunities for breakthrough solutions.
